Citizens of Santa Maria dos Sussurros,
It has been some time since our last transmission.
We are sorry about that. So much has happened. There was too much work, too little time, and far too many things demanding our attention.
But the signal is still alive.
There Are More of Us Now
An analysis of our development process revealed that several parts of the game were being held back by a single person taking care of coding, music, story, and much more.
Now, there are more hands helping us bring the dark message to Earth.
More people are working behind the signal. More ideas are taking shape. More pieces of Santa Maria dos Sussurros are slowly coming together.
And we finally have more to show you.
Faces You Shouldn’t Trust
We now have more concept art finished, revealing new expressions of fear, doubt, and uncertainty on some of our characters’ faces.
You may learn more about them soon.

Something Is Waiting in the Inventory
We have also been working extensively on the visual identity of the game, especially our menus and screens, including the inventory.
We want every screen to feel like a part of the world, rather than something that simply exists outside of it.
Here are some screenshots showing the colors, shapes, layouts, and overall feeling we are building.

You Can Look Closer
As part of the core game, the inventory allows you to inspect 3D models of the items you find.
You can look at them.
Rotate them.
Examine them from every angle.
Who knows what may be hiding in something you thought you already understood?
Sounds From the Other Side
One of the most important additions since our last update has been the music.
Inspired by games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil, we have already composed some tracks for the soundtrack.
We want the music to do more than simply accompany the game.
We want it to stay with you.
To make you uncomfortable.
To bring a shiver down your spine.
Here is a glimpse of one of our tracks.
Choose Your Words Carefully
We are also happy to announce that our game will feature a complex dialogue system.
Your choices matter.
Multiple dialogue options can alter character routes and lead to different endings. Certain items can unlock special dialogue options, while choosing the right answers may reward you with information, items, or something else entirely.
The system is already working, but we are still finishing the UX and UI.
So, no images for now. Some things are better left unseen.

Follow us and join our Discord server to keep up with the development of the game.
More transmissions will come.
We hope you don’t get lost. You can always follow the signal.
